VASCO: Dabolim Airport Police arrested a Maharashtra native for possessing ammunition at airport.
Daboim Airport Police registered an offence under Section 3 r/w 25 of Arms Act 1939 and arrested 59-year-old Freddy Inacio Barbosa, a resident of Sunshine House, Virar (West), Thane, Vasai, Maharashtra. During security check and screening of the hand baggage of the accused at Dabolim Airport, he was found with 1 live ammunition of Caliber 32 in his baggage having licence valid only in Maharashtra.
The CISF personnel posted at Goa Airport lodged the complaint and the accused was arrested and kept in airport police custody.
