PANJIM: The Old Goa police have arrested a Santa Cruz resident for allegedly possessing drugs worth Rs 10,200. The 23-year-old accused Franco D’Costa was caught red-handed in possession of ganja weighing 102 gms in a raid at Old Goa jetty on Monday evening.
Old Goa PI Jivba Dalvi said an offence under Section 20 (b) (ii) (A) of NDPS Act has been registered against the accused.
The officer said that reliable information was received about the local coming to deliver drugs near Old Goa jetty following which a trap was laid and D’Costa was caught red-handed with the consignment.
