One held with pirated CDs

The Panjim town police today arrested one Irfan Shaikh and seized 850 pirated CDs and DVDs of newly released films.
The raid was carried out at his shop ‘Farhana Video Library’ located in the new CCP market, the police informed. A computer and a CD writer, which was allegedly used for making pirated CDs and DVDs was also attached for investigation. Shaikh was later released on bail, as confirmed by his advocate Swapnil Nashnolkar.
Just a month ago, Panjim police had carried out another raid at various shops in the Panjim market and seized around 8300 pirated VCDs and MP3 worth Rs 34-lakhs.
