COLVALE: A person from Dhargal ended his life by jumping into the Chapora River from Colvale Bridge on Wednesday evening. The reason for his suicide is yet to be revealed and the body is yet to be found.
According to Mapusa Police, at around 4 pm, a scooter was found parked on the Colvale Bridge and a pair of slippers was also found at the spot.
After which locals informed the Mapusa Police and Fire Station about the incident, a search operation was launched to locate the victim but to their dismay no body was found.
Police informed that they have registered a missing report and as per preliminary investigation, the person has been identified as a resident of Dhargal. A missing complaint has been lodge by the son-in-law of the missing person.
The case is being investigated by Head Constable Arun Salgaonkar.
