MARGAO: Maina Curtorim police booked a case of rash and negligent driving against 43-year-old Vijay Kumar Rai following a fatal accident in which the truck driven by Vijay hit a motorcycle resulting in the death of its rider 35-year-old Tejray Singh, a resident of near Bhatikar bungalow at Gogol but native of Rajasthan.
Tejray was travelling from Verna to Margao when the accident occurred at the Nuvem junction. While the traffic from Verna to Margao was allowed to proceed the traffic heading towards Verna was stopped.
However, Vijay did not see the stop signal and proceeded with his truck towards Verna where it collided with the motorcycle ridden by Tejray who sustained head injuries and died of the same.
