One lane of the New Zuari bridge will be inaugurated on 26th December by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant declared. He was speaking after assessing the work completed on the New Zuari bridge on Thursday. The inauguration of the second phase will take some more days, Sawant said. The notification for the signages will be done on Thursday itself.
The total length of the bridge is 13.2 km, while the elevated portion is 8.2 km. The total cost is Rs 2530 crores.
