VOLPOI: Shantaram Kadari aged 62 and a resident of Pelavada Ravan Keri Sattari was alleged murdered by his relative.
According to the deceased children, their father was plucking jackfruits when his relative one Madso Hinde along with his family came to the spot and asked Kadari to stop plucking the jackfruits as the tree belonged to them.
The deceased children alleged that this resulted in a heated argument between them and in a fit of rage Hinde pushed Kadari who alleged fell down and hit his head against a stone which resulted in his death.
However, the post-mortem report revealed that Kadari died due to heart attack.
Meanwhile, a counter complaint was filed by Hinde’s family saying that the deceased sons had beaten Madso daughters.
Valpoi police station, Police Inspector Deepak Pednekar said that they will register a case under Section 304. Police Sub Inspector Yashwant Mandrekar is investigating the case.
