One stabbed at Mangor Hill breathes his last in GMC

VASCO: Deepak Dalvi, aged 47, resident of Mangor Hill, Vasco, who was attacked by iron rod and stabbed by broken soda bottle died while undergoing medical treatment, at Goa Medical College Hospital, Bambolim, on Thursday.
PSI Anil Polekar of Vasco informed that on Wednesday night Dalvi, driver by profession, was assaulted causing grievous injuries in his abdominal area. 
The accused person, Azim Nabi Sheikh, aged 44, businessman by profession and also a resident of Mangor Hill called Dalvi and asked to meet him. Both had a heated argument near Chopdekar Bar that night and accused person Azim assaulted Dalvi with iron rod and broken soda bottle. Immediately, injured Dalvi was rushed to Chicalim District Hospital but later he was shifted to GMC for further medical treatment. However, Dalvi breathed his last on Thursday morning. 
Vasco Police have booked accused Azim Nabi Sheikh under Section 302 for murder, 504, 506(ii) and 326 of IPC. The accused was out on bail recently. 
Further investigation is ongoing in the case, PSI Polekar said.
