MARGAO: Margao Town Police on Tuesday took Shaikh Riaz under preventive custody under Section 151 of Criminal Procedure Code following a complaint from Gandhi Market vendors that Riaz had forced them to sign on a paper.
A few days back there was a complaint lodged against Riaz that he was extorting money from the Gandhi Market vendors and fearing arrest in that case Riaz had successfully sought anticipatory bail.
However, following the complaint by Gandhi Market vendors today, police arrested him late evening.
