PANJIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said that condonation of delay in filing of GST appeals as a one-time amnesty till January 31, 2024 will benefit taxpayers in the State, who could not file appeals within the specified time period.
Sawant who attended and addressed the 52nd GST Council Meeting chaired by Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman at New Delhi, on Saturday raised issues regarding condonation of delay in filing of GST appeals and also advocated concessional GST rates to Divyangjan for motor vehicles.
Sawant also supported the proposal not to subject ENA (Extra Neutral Alcohol) as raw material for liquor manufacturing under GST.
