One vehicle gutted while another damaged in Margao

MARGAO, AUG 6
A Wagon R was completed gutted in a fire, while a Maruti Alto was left damaged at Mungul Grande here in the wee hours of Thursday.
The Wagon R was completely damaged in the fire, causing a loss of Rs 3 lakh.
The incident is believed to have occurred at around 3 am on Thursday when unknown miscreants broke the window glasses and allegedly set the vehicle afire.
The Margao police has registered a fire accident in the matter, even as PI Santosh Desai said the police are investigating whether the incident was just a fire accident or arson.
PI Desai said the police received information that a vehicle has caught fire and immediately intimated the fire brigade extinguish the fire, but before the fire personnel could reach the venue, the damage was already done to the vehicle.
The police are investigating.
