BAMBOLIM: One of the Banastarim accident victims has been discharged from the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC), Bambolim, while other two are recuperating in the hospital.
Sources at the GMC confirmed that 27-year-old Raj Majgaonkar, who suffered forehead injury, was discharged from the hospital on August 14, and has been asked to visit the out-patient department for follow-up treatment. It is pertinent to note that three innocent people lost their lives in the horrific Banastarim accident while three others were grievously injured and had to be hospitalised.
Giving details on the health status of 21-year-old Vanita Bhandari, who suffered multiple fractures, a source stated that she has been taken off from oxygen support and is presently ‘stable’. Shankar Halarnkar, another victim who underwent cervical spine surgery, is responding well to the treatment. However, continues to be on simple mask oxygenation.
