Online admissions for degree prog starts today

PANJIM: The online admissions for the first-year degree programme in general stream for the academic year 2021-22 will begin from Tuesday.

After successful implementation last year, the Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) has once again decided to go ahead with the online common platform for admissions.

DHS Deputy Director Mahadev Gawas said, “The students, who have cleared Class XII, and seeking admission in any of colleges which are under the administrative control of DHE should apply through the common portal available on http:// https://www.dhe.goa.gov.in from 10 am onwards of Tuesday.”

The Government and Aided Colleges under DHE’s administrative control offer a spectrum of courses including BA, B COM, B SC, BCA, BBA, LLB, Music, Home Science, B SC/B Ed, BA/B Ed and several others.

Through the portal, the students can apply to a maximum of three colleges of their choice across Goa with the priority option.

Gawas added that if the student could not get admission in any of the colleges in the first round, then he or she can apply for the subsequent rounds where vacancies are available.

The portal will provide detailed guidelines for the students about the online application process.
