PANJIM: The Crime Branch (CB) sleuths busted an online sex racket with the arrest of three kingpins including a woman at Calangute on Saturday. The team also detained a driver for investigation and rescued two victim girls hailing from Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
As per the case details, the accused Sunil Singh (28) of UP, and Jatinder Singh and Manprit Kaur, both aged 27 years and hailing from Delhi allegedly operated the racket through a website www.pritusha.in<calangute.escorts.
“The site had obscene pictures of females with information such as ‘providing high profile female escorts for making good time.’ It was also noticed that a mobile number and email id were displayed for striking a deal with them,” an officer said.
The raiding team headed by PI Dattaguru Sawant and supervised by SP Umesh Gaonkar, along with NGO ARZ laid a trap at Calangute to crackdown on the international racket.
“Two females in the age group of 25-30 years were rescued after a brief inquiry by NGO ARZ. The driver of Santro taxi Sunil Singh could provide his official badge, and on checking his mobile phone we found different photos of female escorts. HE was detained on suspicion,” the officer said.
The team is now in search of an unidentified man, who allegedly exploited the victims. Details provided by the CB indicated that the pimps charged Rs 10,000, Rs 20,000 and Rs 30,000 for one hour, two hours and entire night respectively.
They also charged in dollars from foreign customers. A case under sections 4, 5, and 7 of the Immoral Traffic Prevention Act 1956 is registered against the trio while further investigation is underway.
