PANJIM: A five days online vocational training programme was conducted on “Scientific management of Goats” by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, ICAR–CCARI, Old Goa. Dr Udharwar Sanjaykumar Vithalrao SMS (Animal Science) coordinated the programme and gave lectures on importance, advantages, scope of goat farming and various breeds suitable for Goa. Dr B L Kasinath, Senior Scientist and Head, Krishi Vigyan Kendra spoke on Goatary scheme of Department of AHVS, Goa Government. Dr Shivasharanappa N, Scientist gave lecture on “profitable goat farming with Konkan Kanyal Goats. Dr E B Chakurkar, Director ICAR CCARI spoke on breeding management of goats and Dr Udharwar gave practical exposure to the participants on cultivation of green fodder and health care management.
