Chief Minister Pramod Sawant is set to present the budget on Wednesday
and while he is supposedly working on a “realistic” budget for the 2023-2024
fiscal, nearly 62% of the key promises made last year are not materialized.
According to the Action Taken Report on announcements made in the Budget Speech
2022-2023, tabled on the floor of the house on Tuesday, Sawant said only 34% of
the of the total announcements have been fulfilled during the current fiscal.
The opposition attacked the government for failing to fulfill the promises made
in the last budget calling it a literal failure at just 34 percent against the
pass percentage of 35
