PANJIM: Former minister Mahadev Naik on Saturday said AAP is the only party which can bring Bhausaheb Bandodkar’s vision to life in State.
Naik, who joined AAP recently, was taken on a tour of RPVV School in Civil Lines New Delhi built by AAP.
During his visit, he marvelled the world class infrastructure provided by the Kejriwal government and wondered why Chief Minister Pramod Sawant was unable to do the same in Goa.
“The Delhi government-run school has provided its students with laptops from where teachers can teach the students on a daily basis. This is in stark contrast to the Sawant government which has not been able to provide Goan students with mobile phones, laptops and connectivity and has left them to fend for themselves with regards to online classes,” Naik said.
“Over the past five years, 92 primary schools set up by Bhausaheb Bandodkar have been shut down by the Sawant Sarkar. While the Sawant Sarkar hides behind ‘lack of enrollment’, the fact is that the government has completely ignored the schools and their maintenance. Those impacted most by this are the students of rural Goa who now have to go to extraordinary lengths to get education,” he said.
