MARGAO: The Administrator of Communniades, South has said that she would pass orders in the illegal structures on Moti Dongor and adjoining Talsanzor within a fortnight from now, even as residents of Talsanzor are bracing up to call on all the MLAs from Salcete in support of their demand for the protection of their structures.
The Communidades Administrator Sangeeta Naik told Herald that it would take her a minimum 15 days to complete the process and issue the final orders. “Hearings in both the Moti Dongor and Talsanzor structures is finally over. I will issue individual orders after evaluating the submissions made by the parties before issuing them the notices”, she said.
Meanwhile, the beleaguered residents of Talsanzor, under the banner of Economically Backward Residents, have decided to call on all the eight MLAs of Salcete taluka and submit memorandums requesting them to save their structures from demolitions.
Camilo Barretto said that the residents will also call on the Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar with a plea to regularise their structures.
Almost all the residents of Talsanzor, besides Moti Dongor have pleaded for regularisation of their structures on grounds they have been existing on the hillock over decades. In fact, Barretto said that it is years now since residents of Talsanzor had moved the Administrator of Communidades for regularisation of their structures. “Deputy Chief Minister, Francis D’Souza, who also holds the Revenue portfolio, has promised to help the residents of Talsanzor. We expect the government to regularise the structures,” Barretto said.
