MARGAO: The Orlim gram sabha has resolved to increase the house tax by 10 per cent. The Panchayat informed that in accordance with the decision taken in the previous gram sabha, they have started collecting one month’s rent as annual tax from all domestic and commercial premises. The gram sabha members objected to the location of the mobile towers as they claimed that the sites are in residential areas and requested the tower companies to conduct a survey to select alternate sites in non-residential areas.
