PANJIM: The State government has extended the benefit of One Time Settlement (OTS) scheme, offered to the defaulting water consumers, till June 30.
Titled the ‘Dues Recovery and Settlement Scheme 2020-21’ under the Public Works Department (PWD) for payment of dues towards water charges from all domestic and non-domestic water consumers, this is the fourth time this scheme has been extended, due to the poor response to the scheme. It had earlier extended the scheme till February 28 and then till April 30.
This OTS scheme offers 100 per cent to 20 per cent waiver on delayed payment charges to the defaulting consumers, based on the kind of installment facility they opt for to clear the dues.
