MARGAO: The Holy Spirit Church, Margao will celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Assumption on August 15.
On the feast day, masses will be in the morning at 6, 7, 8 and 9.30 am. Before 8 am mass blessing of paddy sheaves of the new harvest will be held and distributed to all parishioners.
As part of the celebration, Holy Spirit Parish Pastoral Council will organise the second traditional ‘Patolleanchem Fest’ since it was introduced for the first time last year held at the Church square.
The delicious Patolleos would be available to the parishioners after every Mass on the feast day. Patolleos are made of coconut and jaggery stuffing with rice flour paste covered with, turmeric leaf.
