SANGUEM: The feast of Our Lady of Piety Chapel, Uguem was celebrated with great pomp, gaiety and religious fervour at Uguem, Sanguem, on Sunday.
The feast was celebrated following all COVID-19 norms and was well participated by the villagers from Uguem parish.
Fr Mathias Fernandes of Pilar Society was the main celebrant for the High Mass along with Chaplain Fr Greg Abel Fernandes and Assistant Chaplain Fr Pascoal Fernandes.
In his homily, Fr Fernandes stressed on the importance of Rosary and the need for saying Rosary at our homes and to keep Our Lady in our hearts and at our homes. Fr Fernandes also appealed to the parishioners to keep praying at all times in the family.
Fr Greg Abel Fernandes extended his wishes to the parishioners of Uguem on the festive occasion.
The feast Mass was followed with a procession of Our Lady. While in the evening a Konkani drama was staged in the chapel premises in aid of the chapel fund.
