VASCO: Over 4000 residents from Mangor Hill, Vasco underwent thermal scanning recently, however no cases of high body temperature or fever were reported.

Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida along with a ward councillor Fredrick Henriques organised the thermal scanning of the residents.
“Such initiative has been undertaken to keep a check to ensure the safety of our people, said Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida.
Henriques said he had sent a message to most people from the Mangor Hill area that Ward 19 of the MMC has been a model ward during the COVID-19 crisis.
“We took the lead in putting in place a number of initiatives to deal with the situation. Another measure in this direction was to ensure that the ward is a COVID-19 free by carrying out house-to-house thermal scanning of all residents of the ward by our team of volunteers. Residents were requested to co-operate”. The residents cooperated with us and it was a great achievement to complete such an initiative,” Henriques said.
Almeida thanked the residents for their wholehearted co-operation carrying out the door-to-door thermal scanning.
The MLA thanked his team of volunteers who helped in carrying out the mega task of scanning over 4000 residents using seven thermal scanner guns.
“It is indeed noteworthy that there were no cases of high fever among the residents. I’m extremely happy and humbled that I could be of help to my people, by making the thermal scanner guns available” he added.
The MLA appreciated Henriques for his coordination. Many locals on social media appreciated the thermal scanning activity undertaken by the Vasco MLA.
