Over 5k candidates to vie for 24 govt posts

PANJIM: The Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) will conduct examinations in computer based recruitment test (CBRT) form for the posts of Mamlatdars and Block Development Officers (BDOs) for the Personnel Department on February 19. 

The Commission had advertised for these positions in November last year and received over 4,000 applications for the post of BDOs and over 1,000 for the post of Mamlatdars. There are 14 vacancies for Mamlatdars of which eight posts are unreserved, four for Other Backward Classes (OBC), one each for Scheduled Tribes (ST) and EWS whereas for the BDOs there are 10 positions i.e. five unreserved, two for OBC and one each for ST and EWS candidates.  One vacancy for Person with Disabilities (PwD) is reserved in each position.
