PERNEM: Internal roads leading to houses of virus infected persons from Ozari-Pernem were sealed by the panchayat after five more COVID positive cases were detected in the village on Sunday.
Sources informed that samples of five more persons including the family members of the first infected person in Ozari tested positive. The infected persons were shifted to COVID Care Centre.
Meanwhile, the Ozari Panchayat in coordination with Deputy Collector Pernem and Pernem Police sealed the internal roads in Ozari leading to residence of the infected persons and policemen have been deployed in this area.
Sarpanch Sangita Gaonkar informed that the internal roads leading to residence of infected persons have been sealed. The panchayat in coordination with concern panchas will make provision of essentials to the residents of these wards. Panchayat has taken initiative to distribute face masks and sanitisers to ward residents where positive cases have been detected.
