MARGAO: Nuvem MLA Mickky Pacheco has criticised politicians for their blanket opposition to the Defence Expo and called for it to be shifted to Mopa.
He contended that there is no use for two airports in Goa, and thus, the Defense Expo could be shifted to Mopa permanently. He opposed the use of the land in Quitol, but felt that the Defexpo would be good for Goa and would bring development. He added that he would write to the Chief Minister and Defense Minister on the issue.
Pacheco also questioned the motive of some politicians and said it was wrong for them to seek political mileage from the issue. He also criticised them for only opposing it blankly without offer alternate solutions.
