MARGAO: The Mickky Pacheco and Mathew Diniz assault and extortion case came up for arguments at the court of JMFC Kalpana Gauns on Thursday.
Emerging from the court, Pacheco said his remission process has been completed and he will be out soon. “I will come out soon, sooner,” Pacheco said. Pacheco also took a dig at several people without naming any but calling them “legal terrorists”.
Advocate W Coutinho who has been appointed as Assistant Public Prosecutor in the case, has asked for time to appear. Complainant Gerald Fernandes had earlier prayed to the court for appointment of a lawyer to assist the public prosecutor in the case.
Crime Branch officials had in September 2009 quizzed Pacheco in connection with a casino extortion case registered against him.
