Analysts say Pakistan has launched a renewed attempt to reshape the narrative around a past military episode by once again using social media to circulate misleading and unverified satellite imagery linked to Operation Sindoor. The resurfaced posts, which appeared months after the conflict, falsely claimed strikes on Indian military facilities, including locations near Amritsar in Punjab. However, these assertions were not backed by facts.
Independent verification of the images showed no evidence of damage at the sites mentioned. The facilities remained intact, with no signs of blast impact, structural destruction or secondary effects typically associated with aerial or missile strikes. Experts pointed out the absence of craters, debris, scorch marks or collapsed structures.

Questions were also raised about the timing. During the May hostilities, Pakistan had failed to present any credible or independently verifiable evidence, leading analysts to view the latest visuals as a post-facto attempt to manufacture proof.
