BICHOLIM: On Wednesday, the villagers from Chavdi Pali village in Bicholim taluka observed a total lockdown based on speculation that a lady from the village has COVID-19.
Deputy Sarpanch, Mahesh Gawas said the lockdown was observed voluntarily after rumour that a lady from the village is suspected to be positive.
Sarpanch Prashila Gawde added that four members of the lady’s family have tested negative and they are waiting for the test results of the remaining 10 persons.
The panchayat added that they will decide about continuing the lockdown based on the test results of the lady and others.
