MARGAO: The Navyuvak Haushi Mandal from Margao will celebrate Diwali by holding a Palkhi Utsav of Krishna on October 28. Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardessai will attend the function.
Generally Krishna takes a back seat in all Diwali celebrations and Narkasur, the demon, is glamorised.
MP Narendra Sawaikar, Chairperson Babita Angle and Councillor Rupesh Mahatme and others will be present at the palkhi.
