CURCHOREM: A coconut palm that fell across wires in the middle of a road has been lying there for long posing a great threat to passers by near St Teigo chapel at Miriajirem in Chandor, according to Shilton Fernandes from the neighbouring Assolda village.
Shilton who travels on this road frequently said “Whenever I travel via this road, I see it hanging on the wires and imagine what will happen if it fell on any passerby particularly on two wheeler riders/children which may cause serious consequences.”
He lamented that despite pointing out the hazard to some local people from the area, there has been no change in the situation.
