Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) has partnered with the social organization, El Shaddai, to undertake a comprehensive initiative aimed at identifying and assisting homeless individuals in the city.
As part of this collaborative endeavour, a dedicated team from CCP and El Shaddai conducted a city-wide operation to locate homeless individuals residing on the streets of Panaji. The operation focused on ensuring the welfare and well-being of the city’s homeless population.
The initiative culminated in gathering all identified homeless individuals and relocating them to a designated area near CCP. Subsequently, a thorough medical check-up was conducted to assess and address any immediate health concerns. El Shaddai, has pledged to provide ongoing care and support to these individuals until suitable alternative arrangements can be made for their well-being.
The collaborative effort between CCP and El Shaddai not only reflects a commitment to addressing the immediate needs of the homeless but also underscores the importance of fostering long-term solutions to homelessness. By bringing together the resources and expertise of a local government body and a dedicated social organization, the initiative aims to create a positive impact on the lives of those experiencing homelessness in Panaji.
