PONDA: Ponda Police arrested two persons including a Cumbarjua panch Nandakumar Shet for allegedly abusing and obstructing a government official from performing his lawful duty at Rajiv Kala Mandir, Ponda.
According to police, the incident took place Wednesday evening when Nandkumar Shet (28), Sidhesh Shet (20) and two minors visited the Rajiv Kala Mandir along with a drama team. During the drama, these four were reportedly found partying in VIP room meant for the judges.
When Shrikant Gaude, an official of Rajiv Kala Mandir asked them to leave the place stating that it was not meant for parties, they got angry and refused to move out. They even threatened and abused the official, who later complained to the Ponda Police.
When the police rushed to the spot, the accused fled. Later, the police arrested the duo.
