VASCO: Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho along with Chicalim Sarpanch, panch members and PWD officials conducted a site inspection in Chicalim to identify the place with plans to set up a sewage plant.
Although, the site inspection took place but the site for this project is yet to be finalised.
When contacted, Chicalim Panch Robert Falcao confirmed that Minister for Panchayat Mauvin Godinho in presence of Chicalim Sarpanch Sebestiao Pereira, panch members and PWD officials held a site inspection to identify an area to set up a new sewage plant in Chicalim.
Falcao said that the panchayat is looking for an adequate space to set up a sewage plant which would cater to the people of Dabolim Constituency. “Although, we have conducted site inspection, we haven’t finalised the site,” he added.
Through Twitter handle, Minister Godinho tweeted “Attended a site inspection at Alto-Chicalim, near Helber Service Centre, for locating an area for a new sewage plant as we are setting up the sewage plant. The inspection was held in the presence of PWD sewage officials, Assistant Engineer Thomas Landez, PWD Water Department Executive Engineer Vishwambar Bhende and Junior Engineer Akshay Naik.”
