PANJIM: The State government appointed committee to review the Outline Development Plans (ODPs) has asked the North Goa Planning and Development Authority (NGPDA) and Mormugao PDA (MPDA) to submit data on Parra-Arpora-Nagoa, Calangute-Candolim and Vasco ODPs for scrutiny.
A 10-member committee headed by Chief Town Planner Rajesh Naik held its first meeting on Thursday to review the final ODPs of Parra-Arpora-Nagoa, Calangute-Candolim and Vasco, which were suspended last month.
Speaking to media persons post meeting, Naik said that being the first meeting; a Broad discussion was held on how to go ahead while reviewing it.
“We have asked the concerned PDAs to submit some more data based on which scrutiny will be done,” Naik said adding “we will scrutinise whether ODPs were drafted as per the government directions and following TCP rules”.
“Also, other aspects would be looked into,” he said.
Naik said that as directed by the government, the report will be submitted within 60 days. The next meeting of the committee is scheduled on Friday, next week.
The draft ODPs of Panjim, Kadamba Plateau, Mapusa, Margao and Ponda are also been kept on hold for a period of 60 days by the government.
