PANJIM: Panjim BJP MLA Atanasio Babush Monserrate played down criticism and allegations levelled against him by the opposition such as former Mayors Uday Madkaikar, Surendra Furtado.
He was asked about this by media persons about the opposition as well as the statements given by his own party colleagues Utpal Parrikar and Sidharth Kuncalienker wanting to contest the Panjim elections, possibly as the BJP candidate.
“If some people become blind I cannot help it (on the charge that there has been no development in Panjim). The people of Panjim are there and they can see and will see (development). That is clear. The only three things that matter is that the people of Panjim have seen, are seeing and will be seeing development,” said Babush.
