Panjim: On Thursday, Panjim residents found themselves navigating through moderate to dense morning fog that veiled the city. The misty conditions resulted in a drop in temperature, with the mercury plummeting two degrees below the average.
While this marked the first instance of dense fog in Panjim this month, other regions of the state had already witnessed similar conditions in the preceding days. According to the weather department, fog is a common occurrence during winter and seasonal transitions.
Over the last two weeks, the minimum temperature in Panjim has consistently ranged between 17 and 18 degrees Celsius. However, on Wednesday, it registered at 18.8 degrees Celsius. This contrasted with the 17.4-degree reading from the same day in 2021, highlighting the variance in temperatures.
Despite the challenges posed by the fog, Panaji residents adapted to the conditions, emphasizing the need for caution and vigilance during their morning routines.
