A pedestrian who was left critically injured after a shocking road incident near the Panjim market on Tuesday morning has died while undergoing treatment. The victim was struck when a car, allegedly driven by a Nepal-origin minor under the influence of alcohol, suddenly reversed onto the footpath, mowing him down.
Panjim Police have arrested the minor driver and initiated further investigation into the circumstances leading to the accident, including the suspected drunk driving and violation of juvenile driving laws. Authorities are expected to examine CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts as part of the probe.
