A family vacation in Goa turned tragic early Tuesday after 41-year-old Harinderjit from Patiala, Punjab, died following a fall from the third floor of a hotel in Candolim. Calangute Police received a distress call at 4:06 am and rushed to the scene, but the tourist succumbed to his injuries.
His body has been sent to the Goa Medical College (GMC), Bambolim, for preservation and further examination. Police said the preliminary assessment suggests an accidental fall, though a detailed investigation is in progress.
An unnatural death case has been registered under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Officers are recording statements from family members and witnesses to ascertain the exact sequence of events.
