PANJIM, APRIL 2 Daring burglaries hit Panjim as unknown person broke open four shops in the heart of the city and decamped with cash and goods all totaling approximately Rs 1.6 lakh. According to Panjim police the incidents happened between 9.30 pm and 9 am today morning.

Daring burglaries hit Panjim as unknown person broke open four shops in the heart of the city and decamped with cash and goods all totaling approximately Rs 1.6 lakh.
According to Panjim police the incidents happened between 9.30 pm and 9 am today morning.
While three shops were looted in Alfran Plaza building near Don Bosco High School, another shop was looted near EDC House.
The culprits followed the same modus operandi at all four places where the crime was committed.
The culprits bent the shutter from the center to gain entry into the shops.
One Rakesh Jagtap complained that culprits decamped with cash of Rs 27,500 from his Pocket shop (garment) near EDC House.
In Alfran Plaza one mobile phone shop was broken open and mobiles worth Rs 1.2 lakh were stolen, said complainant Samir Ahmed.
The other two shops owners in the same building Francis Fernandes and Manoj Khaunte complained that cash of Rs 4000 and Rs 8500 were stolen from their shops, respectively.
Police have registered a case against unknown culprits.
