PANJIM: A week after the former CEO Swayandipta Pal Chaudhuri was shunted out, the State government has reconstituted the Goa Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Ltd (IPSCDL) Board under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Parimal Rai.
While Chief Secretary to head ex-official members Board and IAS Hemant Kumar is the new CEO as per the orders issued earlier.
Not surprisingly, the new Board comprises of Panjim MLA Babush Monserrate and Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) Mayor Uday Madkaikar as the non ex-officio members.
Other members are Secretary Finance (IAS) Puneet Kumar, Collector North R Menaka, CCP Commissioner Sanjit Rodrigues, Principal Chief Engineer (PWD) Utama Parsekar and Joint Secretary Urban Development Dr Tariq Thomas.
On Thursday, Panjim MLA had said that the Smart City work has been going on at a snail’s pace and there needs to be urgency and hence he had spoken to the Chief Minister to act on the matter.
