PANJIM: Two days after being rushed to Goa Medical College, Panjim MLA Atanasio Monserrate alias Babush was discharged from the hospital this morning.
Soon after the discharge Monserrate took to social media to thank the supporters, GMC doctors and dean for helping him recover quickly.
“Thank you for your prayers and best wishes. It meant a lot to me and helped me recover at Godspeed. Also a big thank you to dean, doctors, nurses and staff of GMC for helping me recover quickly,” he posted.
Speaking to Herald, Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) Mayor Uday Madkaikar said the Panjim MLA was treated for vertigo.
“He has been treated for vertigo and sent home. The doctors said he is doing absolutely fine,” he stated.
St Cruz MLA Tony Fernandes said the MLA will take some rest and start his service to the people again.
