PANJIM: Panjim Police have registered a case against two persons for assaulting one Rutvik Vast (21), resident of Pernem.
According to the complainant, the two accused persons assaulted him with slaps and committed theft of his mobile phone and fled away from the spot.
The police registered an offence vide Crime No 90/2022 U/s 394 R/w 34 IPC against the accused.
During the investigation, two accused persons Mehboob Yellappa Sayeed, (20), native of Bijapur-Karnataka and Ravi Nannu Dongre (24) of Madhya Pradesh, presently both residing at Ferry Point Panjim were arrested immediately and the stolen mobile phone along with seven other mobile phones worth Rs 1.20 lakh were recovered, as informed by the Panjim Police.
