Panjim: The hearing in the Panjim Police Station attack case was held in the Session Court on Friday. The CBI, on Friday, produced the copy of original complaint in the Panjim Police Station attack case. However, the accused number three, Tony Rodrigues and one more accused is yet to be identified, so the case has been adjourned to 6th December 2022.
On the 6th December the accused will be identified and there will be cross examination, according to Adv Bhupesh Prabhudesai.
Earlier on 29th November 2022, Judge Sherin Paul had pulled up the CBI counsel for failing to produce the original complaint in the Panjim police station attack case
CBI was given a last chance since it failed to produce the complaint even after giving three weeks’ time.
The Court asked why this chargesheet should not be dismissed.
On Friday December 2 the CBI produced the original FIR which was registered on February 19, 2008.
12 Oct 2022 On Police Inspector Tushar Lotlikar on Tuesday identified Revenue Minister Babush Monserrate and others, as the accused allegedly involved in the infamous Panjim police station attack case in February 2008.
Almost after 14 years, the trial in the case started before the District and Sessions Court with PI Lotlikar deposing. Lotlikar was the PSI when he filed the complaint on behalf of the State on February 19, 2008
