MAPUSA: Mapusa Additional Sessions Judge on Thursday adjourned the criminal trial in the 2008 Panjim Police Station attack case to February 28.
The case having Panjim MLA Atanasio Babush Monserrate and Revenue Minister Jennifer Monserrate as main accused, was earlier pending in the High Court for last seven years. In December 22, 2021, Justice Manish Pitale of the Bombay High Court at Goa directed that the trial should commence and be expedited as there was prima facie evidence against the accused.
On Thursday, Additional Sessions Judge Sherin Paul adjourned the matter.
