Panjim Smart City team attends World Urban Forum

PANJIM: Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Ltd (IPSCDL) Director Sidharth Kuncalienker and CEO Swayandipta Pal Chaudhuri on Saturday attended the World Urban Forum convened by United Nations Human Settlement Programme (UN Habitat), in Malaysia.

PANJIM: Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Ltd (IPSCDL) Director Sidharth Kuncalienker and CEO Swayandipta Pal Chaudhuri on Saturday attended the World Urban Forum convened by United Nations Human Settlement Programme (UN Habitat), in Malaysia.
IPSCDL has been invited to speak at a special session (Sustainable Urban Transformation – Challenges and Opportunities) chaired by Union Urban Development Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. 
The forum is being attended by representatives from 185 countries, including India with team Goa also visiting the India Stall set up at the forum.
The IPSCDL team on Friday had met Yang Amat Berbahagia Tun S Samy Vellu, who is Special Envoy (Infrastructure) India and South Asia Prime Minister’s Department appointed with ministerial rank by the Malaysian government.
The aim of the meeting was to discuss various infrastructural related issues where Panjim can collaborate with Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Goa team stressed that Panjim is looking at revamping its electrical, water and sanitation systems to ensure uninterrupted reliable power, adequate clean and portable water supply to each household as well Septic Free City by 2020.
