Panjim witnessed chaos over the allotment of stalls for the ‘Ashtami’ fair. People questioned the illegalities taking place concerning the forms handed out by the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP).
However the CCP councillor, Bento Lorena stated that forms for this fair are offered on a first come first serve basis while the priority is given to traditional furniture vendors. The CCP commissioner Agnelo Fernandes refused to speak regarding this issue.
