Third truck sinks as the road caved-in in Panjim, this time near Azad Maidan. The portion of the road suddenly caved in when a truck loaded with huge pipes was passing through Panjim’s commercial spot on Thursday night, exposing the hollow structure of the road. In the past 10 days, this is the third such incident that has taken place in Panjim, pointing to the poor care of infrastructure by the Corporation of the City of Panjim where smart city works are underway.
According to the truck driver, the road caved in while the truck was passing by the road. The vehicle was stuck for a while. Luckily no one was injured.
