Paramours planned murder and escape route meticulously

The accused were in a relationship earlier and had married different persons

MARGAO: Suraj Myageri and his paramour Mangala alias Vaibhavi very meticulously planned not only the murder of Mangala’s husband Vishwanath but also their escape from the scene.

The meticulous planning emerged following police interrogation of the duo who have been remanded to police custody by the Judicial Magistrate First Class, Margao. Suraj arranged a party at Vishwanath’s rented premises on the eve of Holi where he brought the alcohol. While he consumed beer, Vishwanath was made to drink whisky and the party continued till the five-year-old daughter went to sleep so that she could not be a witness to the crime nor make any noise when the heinous crime was being committed.

After killing Vishwanath, they did not leave the premises by the front door as Mangala had warned about the CCTV cameras there and hence they left through the rear door early morning.

Suraj and Mangala who were in a relationship earlier, married different persons but were unhappy in their respective marriages and planned the murder to come together again. Both have been booked under Section 302 of IPC for murder.
