Paroda Panchayat urges CM to solve flooding in village

MARGAO: The Paroda Panchayat has requested the chief minister to find a solution to the annual flooding in the village. The village has been facing flooding since last four years with no solution to it. 
The road between Paroda and Quepem has been witnessing flooding since the last 4 years. During the monsoon season, the village remains cut off from the rest of the world due to flooding of the roads.
According to the panchayat, former chief minister late Manohar Parrikar had inspected the areas and assured solution of raising the height of a road. 
Panch Deepak Kharangate said that the main road and market areas have been witnessing flooding since the last four years. “No one cares for Paroda. The roads in the village were tarred 13 years ago,” Kharangate said. 
Four MLAs use Paroda roads, but no one bothers to repair it,” he complained and hoped that at least flood relief equipments would be supplied to the panchayat to help the flood affected people.
